Local Attractions
The nearby Titanic Quarter offers a wide range of things to do and see. The Quarter houses Belfast's state of the art Odyssey Arena which is home to a host of bars, clubs, restaurants, multi screen cinema, and bowling area and of course not forgetting the award winning Belfast Giants Ice Hockey team. The Odyssey Arena often plays host to any major concert or event that comes to the city.
Next door, well actually across the River Lagan you can discover the Waterfront area of the city complete with the Lagan Weir with look out area and the Waterfront Complex which hosts many concerts and exhibitions and boasts an excellent restaurant which is a superb place to enjoy lunch whilst taking in the great views of the city and river.
A short walk from the Waterfront area is the Cathedral Quarter which offers a selection of some of the finest architecture Belfast has to offer, such as the old Custom House or St Anne's Cathedral. The Cathedral Quarter like the rest of the city is a unique mixture of the old and the new which allows a fascinating experience of wondering down old cobbled streets steeped in history whilst happening upon one of the many fashionable bars, cafes or restaurants that are located in the area.
Right next to the Cathedral Quarter you will find the heart of the city centre complete with major high street and designer stores, a huge choice of eateries, and of course Belfast would not be Belfast without even more bars, cafes, restaurants and nightclubs.
A few miles outside of the city heading towards the seaside town of Bangor you can find Crawfordsburn which is an excellent example of a quaint and traditional Northern Irish village complete with a wonderful restaurant at the Old Inn and a thatched roof pub. On the outskirts of Crawfordsburn there is a country park which offers spectacular scenery, beautiful walks and a world class beach.
There is also a large number of golf clubs in and around the Belfast area, which can easily be found and booked via the internet.
